Penobscot Bay Media's headquarters are located in beautiful downtown Camden, Maine...a bustling summer destination for tourists and a postcard perfect town for the winter holidays. Here are some of the options to get here:

By Air: Portland Jetport  (PWM). From Portland it's a two-hour trip to Camden either by bus (Concord Trailways: 1-800-639-3317) or limo (Mid-Coast Limo: 1-800-937-2424 ~ Advance reservations required).
Another option is to fly US Airways Express (800-428-4322) on one of their many daily flights between Logan Airport in Boston (BOS) and the Knox County Municipal Airport in Rockland, Maine (RKD), with only a 15 minute drive to Camden.

By Bus: Concord Trailways: (1-800-639-3317) provides regular service to Camden from Logan Airport and South Station in Boston or from their terminal in Portland.

By Car:  It is approximately a 4-hour drive by car from Boston, with Portland being the half-way point.

From points south (Sept to June):

  1. Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95, Toll Road) North
  2. Take exit 44 to merge onto I-295 N toward S Portland/Downtown Portland
  3. Follow I-295 North to Exit 28 (Coastal Route 1, Brunswick/Bath)
  4. Follow US 1 North 44 miles
  5. Turn Left at Camden Rd/Rt 90.  Follow to end 10.8 miles
  6. Turn Left on Rt 1 towards Camden 1.8 miles
  7. Turn Left at Free Street .1 miles
  8. Turn Left on Mechanic Street 233 ft
  9. We are located at 51 Mechanic St. on the Third floor.
From points south: (July & August)
Summer is a wonderful time in Maine unless you happen to be driving along the Coast. To avoid some of the worst of the traffic problems, it is best to avoid US Route 1 at nearly any cost. It is better to drive a few miles out of your way than to sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic inching it's way Northward.
  1. Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95, Toll Road) North
  2. Take exit 44 to merge onto I-295 N toward S Portland/Downtown Portland
  3. Follow I-295 North to Exit 49 (Gardiner, ME Rt. 201)
  4. Turn right onto ME Rt. 201 and follow into Gardiner
  5. At Rt. 27/Rt.9 turn right  to cross the bridge towards Randolph
  6. At the other side of the bridge take a right onto Rt. 126 for .2 miles
  7. Turn left onto Rt. 226 and follow for 5.5 miles
  8. Turn Right onto Rt. 17 toward Rockland
  9. Follow Rt. 17 for 30 miles
  10. Turn Left at Camden Rd/Rt 90.  Follow to end 2.7 miles
  11. Turn Left on Rt 1 towards Camden 1.8 miles
  12. Turn Left at Free Street .1 miles
  13. Turn Left on Mechanic Street 233 ft
  14. We are located at 51 Mechanic St. on the Third floor.

From points north:

  1. Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) south into Bangor
  2. Take exit 182A to merge onto I-395 E toward US-1A/Brewer. Move toward the right-most lane .8 miles
  3. Take exit 2 to merge onto US-202 toward Hampden, and follow to the traffic light at the end 4.1 miles
  4. Turn left onto US-202/Western Ave. Continue to follow Western Ave to the traffic light at the end. .4 miles
  5. Turn right onto Main Rd N/US-1A. Continue to follow US-1A S through the towns of Winterport and Frankfort. 19.2 miles
  6. Bear right onto US-1 W. Continue to follow US-1 W through the towns of Searsport and Belfast. After crossing the bridge in Belfast, take the left lane to stay on US-1 W, driving through several small towns, including Northport and Lincolnville. As the signs announcing your entry into Camden you are approximately 5 miles from our offices. Stay on US-1 into downtown Camden, where it is called Main St. 29.2 miles
  7. Take a sharp right onto Mechanic Street. Penobscot Bay Media’s offices are straight through one intersection with a 3-way stop, and up the hill, on the right. Parking is on the right, in the driveway immediately following the building .2 miles
  8. We are located at 51 Mechanic St on the third floor.
