As part of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 75th Anniversary, Penobscot Bay Media designed, built and implemented a series of Flash-based, web deployed, interactive timelines illustrating seminal moments in the development of modern orthopaedics. Incorporating stills, slideshows, audio and video clips and text, the timeline is an evergreen application designed to capture and display user generated content. Additionally, the timeline was debuted on eight 60 inch plasma screens laid end to end spanning forty feet at the Moscone Convention Center during the AAOS's 75th Anniversary year. A digital timeline brings ordinary timelines into the information age by providing you with an easy-to-use tool for creating timelines with just a few clicks of the mouse. DIGITAL TIMELINES, from Penobscot Bay Media, is a product with the built-in capability to create a traditional timeline coupled with the flexibility and ease that is available using today’s technology. Fully editable through a user-friendly and simple backend, DIGITAL TIMELINES gives you the power to easily add, delete or edit events. With DIGITAL TIMELINES, virtually anyone can link text and images or videos together in chronological sequence on a scale that ranges from seconds to millions of years effortlessly.
